Drawing. I already know

I drew almost every day, for several months. It is a simple activity. The format that allows me to express myself is a 5000cm x 55cm roll paper.

I do not consider it an art. But it gives me a lot of fun observing a beautiful woman. It is also like a game of chess—the intellectual search for the best solution—the construction. and solving constructional questions of the body. The basic knowledge of the physiognomy of a human being, the structure of bones and muscles + two tricks, observed and practised, and all this is enough.

For a long time I was occupied with the thought, what do I need this for? It is a technical construction, the transfer of a three-dimensional view of a shape into a two-dimensional space. Then there is the aesthetic-erotic aspect, which is cool, like a foot massage – the one Vincent and Jules discuss in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction (foot massage).

In my opinion, it is not yet art but an outlet for something bigger—the basics. And I was looking for what. A few years ago, I took the first tests. Yesterday, I repainted the drawing and applied a layer of paint. It ceased to be banal; there is mystery and emotion. I will go in this direction. I already know.

The post reveals my understanding of drawing as a technical foundation and a springboard for abstract exploration. It demonstrates how I use figurative drawing as a starting point, treating it as a “game of chess” – an intellectual search for the best solution in form and construction. The transformation from figurative to abstract through repainting represents my practical implementation of the dialogue between these two forms of expression. […]
